Requirements

You must:

  • Live in the Atlanta area.

  • Have relentless attention to detail.

  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office or the equivalent on Apple products.

  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About Me and My Team

I am a well traveled and educated metal and mixed media artist, and I’ve been supporting myself as an artist since I graduated from art school more than two decades ago. I am also a teacher and mentor. I am community orientated and host events at the studio for local organizations from museums and other groups.

Our studio in Atlanta is located at the Goat Farm Arts Center in the Westside Arts District.

 

Position Description and Duties

I’ll be honest...it’s a challenge to be the creative source for the studio and at the same time see that all the details of running the business are taken care of. You would help the studio run smoothly by handling the following.

  • Provide support for and communicate with students and clients.

  • Filter email and phone communications.

  • Update website with new classes.

  • Maintain database of clients, students, prospects and vendors .

  • Coordinate projects and calendar with team.

  • Maintain studio documents, paperwork and financial records.

  • Track metrics and generate monthly reports.

  • Run errands.

  • Carefully proof, write and/or edit copy.

  • Prepare for exhibitions, open studios and house parties, setting up the studio, hanging  work, coordinating light catering, making  labels, assisting with sales and patron questions, etc.

ASAP! If you’re the right person, you can’t get here too soon for me!

You will:

Starting salary is $15-17 an hour. You would start with a 20-hour workweek, but that could be expanded.
