Journey from Corporate Headshots to “The Essentials”
On March 10, 2020, my business of creating corporate headshots came to a screeching halt. The lobby of the 33-story building where all my clients worked, was totally empty at 8:00 a.m. The new reality of “NO BUSINESS” settled in really fast that morning. The only question that tore through my mind was: What do I do now?
On Connect and Create, I’ll be sharing my journey that started with a healthy, corporate headshot business and turned into the journey of my soul-awakening project called The Essentials.
Nancy Carbonaro has been a professional photographer for over 20 years. Her specialty is working with people - mainly through portraiture and documentary photography. Over the years, her business has been to create individual pieces of art that touch, move and inspire. Nancy has photographed: children, families, corporate executives and the people in third-world countries. Everyone matters. Everyone has a voice. Everyone has a right to be seen.
Nancy brings a lightness and joy to her work and life. She loves to connect deeply with everyone she meets. Even when she's in a foreign country, she'll find a way to connect to the little kids playing in the street. She has an energy and a way of being that exudes trust and kindness. In her non-working time, Nancy is off learning about the world, traveling to adventurous places, and always looking for how to make the world a better place.
